This story is based on one of the oldest Japanese tales that dates back more than a thousand years. In this storycard theatre, you can read a story and then retell it aloud – similar to the traditional picture-card dramas called kamishibai (paper theater). The storycards are large (13 by 9 1/2 inches) with bilingual (English/Japanese) text on one side and illustration on the other. The story is told with 12 cards (24 pages). From an ancient and rich tradition comes this innovative way of sharing stories.
